In his newest compositions, Reider takes on breakdown fiddling, Brazilian samba, a Celtic jig in 13/8, Venezuelan Joropo, western swing, and Baroque counterpoint, brought to life by a “staggeringly virtuosic” (RnR Magazine) ensemble called the Human Hands: Alex Hargreaves on violin, Eddie Barbash on saxophone, Dominick Leslie on mandolin, Duncan Wickel on cello and violin, Roy Williams on guitar, and Dave Speranza on bass.
